Job description: Responsible for the navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, the crew and the guests. She/he ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, in-cluding compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. She/he takes care of adhering to flag regula¬tions, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. She/he provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages team¬work, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Jean Pierron
Deckhand – 34, French
Sail and work experience
Jean has plenty of work experience both in and out of the water. Initially gaining his qualifications in management he had a variety of different jobs all over the world before getting into the yachting industry. He started doing yacht deliveries as a first mate in 2015, before moving into the charter sector aboard S/Y EARLY PURPLE. He then worked on S/CAT DREAM ROQUES and S/Y LADY EMILY in 2017/18. He is now an accomplished and experienced deckhand aboard MAGIC CAT. He speaks English, French and Spanish. He also has extensive experience in boat maintenance and repair.
Job description
Jean helps with all deck operations including sailing, navigation, mooring and anchoring. His eye for detail makes sure the deck is always tidy and safe. He will be concentrating on the interests and needs of the guests on board as well as helping the captain get MAGIC CAT where she needs to go. His sailing ability means that he is able to assist the captain wherever necessary.

Lara Casais

Sail and work experience
Lara has never been far from the sea, she began her career as a waitress on Australia’s Gold Coast, priding herself on excellent customer service. She was soon assistant manager at another restaurant on the Australian coast before moving into the travel industry in 2017. She first went to see whilst working aboard the luxury cruise ship Nieuw Statendam, it was the perfect way to take her hospitality skills to sea. She is now an experienced and confident hostess aboard MAGIC CAT. She speaks Spanish and English.
Job description
Lara is responsible for the organization, management and cleanliness of all interior and guest storage on board. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies, whilst ensuring the cleaning and preparation of the vessel remains of the highest standards prior to any and all guest trips. She is in charge of the provisioning of the vessel for both guests and crew in all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures that they are properly cared for and that all of their requirement are met.
