Captain of La Mirage, Mario is a real sea wolf – as his family has been connected with sea for more than 100 years now. It all begun with his grandfather just after the World War I when he bought his first ship Zora (Dawn). With Zora he sailed among Adriatic transporting wine and sand. Mario’s father continued this tradition with boat St Joseph that was used for the same purposes. As they were spending most of their childhood years at sea in 1989. Mario and his brothers decided to build first family boat that was used for nautical truism. Dalmatino has had 13 cabins and could accommodate up to 26 guests and it was in family possession until 2001. That year Mario build new boat St Vid (16 cabins) and since then, parallel with the development of nautical truism, he has built and bought two more boats. Today he and his sons, who have also continued this family tradition, own three ships: Milena (build in 2012, 16 cab), Luna (bought in 2014, 8 cab) and La Mirage (bought in 2017, 6 cabins).
Mario was born in 1959. and he spent most of his childhood years in small coastal town Krilo – Jesenice where most of families were living from the sea. He finished high school in Split, got married and together with his wife he started family business. His wife supported him from the beginning and raised their three sons with love and respect for the sea. Sea is something that occupies Mario’s whole life – when he is not working on one of his boats – he likes to relax swimming. He is also licenced military scuba diver as he was always fascinated with hidden sceneries of sea depths. With Mario you will feel like you are in safe hands as he knows Adriatic like his pocket and he will discover you all hidden pearls of our beautiful coast. His boats are like a family to him and he knows them in every little detail. His experience together with his love for this job makes him ideal captain. Boosted by love for his family and sea now he spends all his energy in renovating their new boat – La Mirage, 34 meter luxury yacht with a mission to restore it in all it’s original beauty.
